We are so very pleased to announce that Dave and Dustin have been announced as the winners of The Writer's Store Industry Insider Contest, Randall Wallace round. With well over 1,000 entries into the contest we are more than thrilled and honored to have been chosen the winners. Dave and Dustin will now be off to Hollywood in January to meet with Mr. Wallace himself as well as Benderspink management and production company.
For more info on the contest, click here We are pleased, very pleased, to announce that our very own Dave Merlino and Dustin Sweet were named finalists in The Writer's Store Industry Insider contest yesterday. The Industry Insider contest is one of the more novel contests around in that they team up with A-List Screenwriter's to give contestants a movie logline idea. In this case the writer is Randall Wallace of "Braveheart" fame. Contestants must then write the first 15 pages of a movie based off their own interpretation of the logline. Ten finalists are then chosen to complete their screenplays under Writer's Store mentorship.
Dave and Dustin will now have the 12 weeks to complete their screenplay with the chance to meet Randall Wallace and take a meeting with Benderspink if they win. We will keep updates over the summer as the contest progresses. For more information on the contest click here. |
